Protecting Rainbow Land and bringing color to the universe is a full-time job in itself, but those of us without a Color Belt to lend us magical powers have to go to work every day. This Rainbow Brite-inspired keyboard is your secret weapon to defeating the King of Shadows — or at least the King of Boredom.

The rainbow LED effects on this mechanical keyboard have adjustable brightness, and can be set to “breathe” mode, which sounds creepy but is actually really cool. They slowly dim and brighten, adding dramatic lighting for the final stretch of that report you’re writing. You can also just turn the lights off if you’re really boring and hate fun.

Rainbows for everyone.

Rainbows for everyone.

The keys themselves are, according to reviews, “really & truly proper[ly] *Old Skool.*” The keyboard is mechanical, as opposed to the “membrane” keyboards found on most laptops nowadays. In addition to better accuracy and longer lifespan, mechanical keys give you a much more satisfying click-clack noise. It’s almost like having an ASMR video on while you type.

Mechanical keyboards are ideal for programmers, writers, and gamers who want the added accuracy and speed. But the rainbow lights and clicky keys make those practical aspects an afterthought. Even Starlite has to admit this thing is pretty sweet.
